And another week comes to a close.
Here are the “FAR” goals I established for this round of ROW80:
F-INISHING works in progress by adding >500 weekly new words, net.
A-DDING >1000 weekly new words to works with 10k words or less to them, and
R-EVISING two works for submission (converting one from adult to new adult and editing one based on feedback.) by tackling at least ONE chapter per week.
Here’s what I did this week:
FINISHING:Â 1290 words written for Mismatched Irregulars and Seconds (weekly goal met)
ADDING:Â 1172 words added to my NA novel. (weekly goal met)
REVISING: 1 chapter edited (weekly goal met)
Wish I had felt like writing a bit more, but just had a few too many competing head space issues to deal with. My word counts are solid, however, so I’m pleased.
I was also made giddy to find a lovely Amazon review of my debut novel wondering and expressing hope it would be a series. I never planned on it…but writing the rogue and whim-like followup novella reinforced how easy the heroine is to write and slip inside her skin. So…maybe. But I’ve just got all these other projects to get a grip on. I don’t want to become a partial story hoarder. They’ll make a reality show about me…being haunted by incomplete ghosts of stories stuttering for attention but never quite getting to the point enough to make a difference. Ah…probably a very common problem. Reminds me of when I used to sew. I collected fabric and patterns. I never met a seamstress who didn’t. I’ve never met an author who didn’t have a crowded hard drive or notebook either. 🙂
Thanks to all my visitors and commenters so far. 🙂
