Here are the “FAR” goals I established for this round of ROW80:

F-INISHING works in progress by adding >500 weekly new words, net.

A-DDING >1000 weekly new words to works with 10k words or less to them, and

R-EVISING two works for submission (converting one from adult to new adult and editing one based on feedback.) by tackling at least ONE chapter per week.

Results for the week:

FINISHING:  1038 words added to Sins of Our Mothers. Introduced new character and POV so I transferred the manuscript to Scrivener using the import feature. Note to future self: convert chapter breaks to # so that Scrivener breaks where I break. (weekly goal met)

ADDING:  Wrote 4609 cumulative words on my new adult novel, 1025 for the week. (weekly goal met)

REVISING: One chapter of MFV revised. (weekly goal met)

I had a nice epiphany with my long suffering nearly done but not 2010 NaNo manuscript this week. Like a shot of adrenaline, it allowed me to solve a myriad of problems I’d been struggling with, the largest of which was how to redeem the hero. Answer: don’t. Introduce a new hero. Ha! Sorry, Tom, you’ve been fired and Jake (name subject to change) has taken your place. Oh, we still love you, but not enough to seek our happily ever after with you. Too bad so sad.

Next week I’m off on a business trip so I won’t be able to do much, nor post on Wednesday. No matter, I’ll try to catch up by Sunday’s post so I still make my goal.

Thanks to all my visitors and commenters so far. 🙂
