18 chapters of The PURE edited this week, but alas I fell off pace toward the end.  My two chapters per weeknight goal I hit at 50% for two nights in a row.  I didn’t make five on Saturday and I’m not going to make five today.  I ran into some logic issues that required some reworkings. Overall, I’m about six chapters behind the pace I set.  😦

I also split a 4200 word chapter in two so what was once a 43 chapter project is now a 44 chapter project.  The word count didn’t change but 44 sounds like more work than 43, yes?  Psyching myself out here.

I had a few cushion days built in so I’ll still make my deadline.  It’ll be a much sweatier finish, however.

Bad news on the superhero novella.  A big fat impersonal form letter rejection.  Boo hiss.  I’ll rework the MS and submit it elsewhere with hopefully a better outcome.  sigh…  I haven’t had a fun weekend.

I’m on track with my editing schedule.  Since my last check in on Sunday, I edited 12 more chapters and will pick up with chapter 27 after I hit post.

No other news to report as editing The PURE is my only remaining goal between now and the end of this round.
