#ROW80 Rd 3, Wk 4, rpt 2

Got a rejection today for my steampunk short story.  Boo hiss!

But on the bright side, I got my superhero novella out to two lovely beta readers.  For Ellen’s story, I arranged a third and fourth beta reader and incorporated beta reader #1’s most excellent comments.  Since beta #2 hadn’t started yet, she got the new and improved version, which I love to pieces.  Then again, I loved the first version too.  Mama’s never think their babies are ugly.

Oh, and I won a novella today from a blog contest!

So, all and all, despite starting this post on a downer, I’m really quite pleased.

ROW80-3 Wk 4, rpt 1

This week has thus far been a low key week.  I’ve done some editing on my superhero novella because unlike the other two novels on my ROW80-3 goals list, it has a deadline.  So, I’ve been paper editing on the sofa next to the Silverback while he watches his favorite shows.  I started the synopsis yesterday but after about 100 words cried uncle and looked for royalty free photos on the web.  Yes, I know how to waste time with the best of them and am easily distracted.  Look!  A squirrel!

Other than that, I started and have nearly finished a lovely Julia Quinn novel (Just Like Heaven) which makes me wish I could write an historical.  Sigh.  Maybe one day.

No word on my steampunk short story yet.  Sigh redux.
