Way to whip out some last minute editing for the week (and round)!
I reached a lull in my novella (endings always do that to me) so rather than gut it out, I forced myself to switch to editing.
You have to understand that I am very much a one-track minded gal. When I’m in write mode, I only want to write. The same is true for editing. The transitions are my sticking points.
All day yesterday, I worked on nothing but editing my YA novel. //begin braggadocio A good part of my enthusiasm derives from my love of my creation. I think this is my best-written novel to date. (And it only took me four and a half prior attempts… haha #slowlearner) Once I started working on it, it was a joy to bring out and use the finer brushes. //end braggadocio
When I wasn’t editing or taking a break on the web, I was trying to figure out Scrivener (since my YA MS is the guinea pig). My poor beta has an ill-compiled manuscript as of last night, but all the words are there even if the chaptering is a bit wonky.
My cumulative statistics are on my ROW80-3 page.
