2010 NaNoWriMo — Sins of Our Mothers

Midnight write

I’ll be putting the pedal to the metal for this WIP starting November 1st for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).

Don’t know if I’ll do any midnight writes like I did last year (and as pictured) because I’m more of a morning person…as a START to my day not its end.

Here’s my NaNoWriMo profile (I’m AuburnAssassin) blurb that I dashed off about the story:

An American woman, Neely, is arrested twenty five years after her involvement with a group of Irish terrorists and their British kidnapping victim.  She’s extradited back to England.  In a series of interviews, conducted as Neely’s trial unfolds, her interviewer Siobhan learns that the victims and criminals aren’t nearly as black and white as the press would have the public believe.  And Neely is guarding more secrets than just those of a criminal nature.

A prologue / short story / intro to Neely’s story is here:

Masquerade

A flash fiction / back story is here:

“Right Place / Wrong Time”

Characters:

First character visual is compliments of Britain’s TV show Spooks with a nod to Tom Quinn (played by Matthew MacFadyen).  My story’s male MC is a British soldier so the visual association is obvious.

I saw this clip over a year ago but it stuck with me.  Love the music too.

London Underground:

I have a chase scene in London’s tube, South Kensington station, specifically, which is where I used to start most of my journeys when I lived in London for a summer.

I hope you’ll keep checking this page as I link more teasers, add character development and research information (including photos of how I envision the characters) and some more musical inspiration.

I'm dying to know what you think?
