My writer-in-arms comrade, Julie Loden, funny blogger extraordinaire and awesome upcoming talent, tagged me to divulge a few things about myself…in threes no less. I’ll share but then I’ll have to think of three ways to kill you if you squeal.
Me in Threes: Claire Gillian
Three names I go by: Claire, Lila, Colleen
Three jobs I’ve had (not in order): Chicago Rib Shack restaurant hostess (in London, UK, 1982, founder Bob Payton hired me cause he was a UNC alum too), auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co., typing pool secretary for the Department of Zoology at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Three places I’ve been:
(in U.S.) Wahiawa HI, Providence RI, Kalispell MT
(outside U.S.) England, France, Germany
Three movies I love: Pride & Prejudice (pretty much all of them), This is Spinal Tap, LA Story
Three shows I can’t miss: Amazing Race (CBS), SYTYCD (Fox), The Office (NBC)
Three books I recently read that I loved: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, An Ice Cold Grave by Charlaine Harris, Gentlemen Prefer Succubi by AW’s own Jill Myles (but I have to also show the cover model on the sequel novel just because).
<<<–sigh, I want Jill Myles’ vampire to be my novel’s Donovan
Three hobbies I do in my spare time: Writing, Fitness, Reading
.. Pen & Paper by Pyon Dattebayo
Three things I am really, really looking forward to: Seeing my book (still to be discovered) on the table at Costco and the end rack of Target, my cruise to the north Baltic this summer, winning the lottery so I can write, read, travel and play full time.
My three choices to follow in my footsteps and reveal their personal trilogies are:
1. Aimee Laine
2. Lindsey Lu (Fitness for the Rest of Us)
3. Kirsten Rice
“Seeing my book (still to be discovered) on the table at Costco and the end rack of Target”
And mine will be next to yours! 😉
Excellent post. I wish I could say I had any free time at the moment, but if I did I would certainly have less constructive things listed.
Oh, and my book(s) (because I can’t work on one thing at a time, apparently) won’t be beside either of yours – it would most likely end up in the remaindered bin, with all the other discounted titles. 🙂
I like the lotto comment, especially since it’s in the “look forward to” section. Do you know something about numbers odds that you’d like to share with the rest of the class? Hee hee
The power of wishful thinking, Julie, nothing more. LOL
Remaindered bin! Bah! My biggest fear is to end up in the Dollar store…but then again I would be published… LOL Probably akin to selling on the Kindle for 99 cents. You never know.
I also can not wait to see your books on the shelves EVERYWHERE! Soon, soon!!!! I finally finished my post here: http://lindseylu8.blogspot.com/2010/06/ive-been-tagged-me-in-3s.html. It was fun, thanks 🙂
How did I miss this post? Very cute. 🙂 And you know, I’ve never tried ribs… Seriously. Your old job made me think of that.
