It felt like I had a little slowing of momentum this week, but I’m not that concerned because I still averaged more than 500 words a day with my larger weekend outputs factored in. I always said I wanted to write because it’s fun not because it’s a chore. Well, last week it bordered on chore so a couple of evenings I said “enough” then be-bopped downstairs to watch American Idol with my family.
On the flip side, I got my NPR entry submitted (my January contest) and I advanced to the finals of another contest I entered in December.
I worked on ALL of my first draft WIPs, not just the sexy newcomers, even if the daily word count didn’t always hit the minimum.
Editing of MFV…well, I did some.
My overall stats are here.
A list with links to other participants’ progress reports is here.
Some weeks are slower than others but you still did great! And sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves and our writing is to take a break and spend time with the family.
Congrats on advancing to the finals! 😀
Thank you! And you are so right. Gotta slip real life in there, if only to have inspiration for writing. Kidding. Family is so important; I must never lose sight of that.
