*Voted the runner up in Evernight’s Second Annual Reader’s Choice Award in the Humor category.

An all expenses paid, trans-Atlantic cruise has romance written all over it…unless you’re the poor sap who has to inspect the toilets and time the cafeteria lines. As if secret-shopping her company’s failing cruise ship isn’t bad enough, Lydia Johnson is forced to bring along a “top talent” new hire as her assistant. With a heart barely healed from her ex-fiancé’s deceit, she’s in no mood to train a man who might cheat her out of an overdue promotion.

Paul Thomas may be new to J.P. Theriot Enterprises, but he certainly knows his way around cruise ships. The Cajun charmer also isn’t shy about pursuing his desires, including his wary, but oh-so-sexy-when-she lets-her-hair-down manager. He’s shared more about himself with Lydia than any other woman…except who he really is—J.P. Theriot.

Enter for a chance to win Evernight’s GRAND PRIZE of an iPad Mini and my blog prize by answering this question (be sure to include your email address to be eligible to win):

What do you think about cruises? Give me your thoughts, positive or negative.

That’s it! Don’t forget to include your email in your comment so our prize coordinator can collect it.

  1. I love cruises. I know they are not for everyone but you get to see lots of places and can decide if you want to come back. You do not have to pack and unpack all the time.

  2. I’ve loved the cruises I’ve been on. Hubby’s not into traveling much but after our first cruise together he now says that’s the only way to vacation. You get to see multiple sites without finding a new hotel every stop.

  3. I have gone on two of them and I think if you go with the right people you can have a really good time. I enjoyed myself on and off the ship

  4. I would love to go on a cruise. I don’t know why I haven’t except I just haven’t had the opportunity.

  5. Cruises have looked interesting. But all the talk of sickness and such makes me weary. Ive read a few books with the characters being on a cruise and it makes for interesting reads. But with the fact its often hinted there are hidden fees and numerous other things I don’t think a long cruise is for me.

  6. I have never been on one, but if I had the money and a chance I would love to try it out.

  7. I have never been on one, however I think it could be amazing. So many possibilities!

  10. You asked the right person, I’ve spent over 300 days at sea. The perks are less and less as time goes on, but I think cruises are great for good food and the variety of ports you can go to in one trip. It gives you a taste so you can decide if you want to fly back and spend more time in that city/country.

  11. I’ve never been on a cruise but if I ever get the chance, I don’t think they’ll ever get me off of the ship! I love the ocean and have been on fishing boats (when I was much younger with my father) and smaller boats but never anything luxurious like a cruise ship. I’d love to go on one though and would jump at the chance. Woo-hoo! Your book sounds terrific and it’d be a nice cruise away from an actual cruise so I’m adding it to my 2015 need to read list!

    Happy New Year everyone!!

  12. I have never been on a cruise but I would love to go. I’ve heard that the food and entertainment is great on cruises. The money you spend for a cruise is suppose to be well worth it. Plus I think it would be very romantic with my husband.

  13. I haven’t been on a cruise but I’ve heard some really great things about them if had the money I would love to visit Florida and take a cruise from there to the Bahama’s.

  14. I love cruises. They are very good for either kindling or re-kindling romance in your life. Thanks for being part of this fun hop and for the chance to win.

  15. I’m one of those people who worries about seasickness and noroviruses, so I think they’re not for me!

  16. I am mixed on the whole idea of a cruise. If I were able to enjoy the beauty of the open waters without the other people there, yay :). The idea of becoming ill on a ship is most definitely an unpleasant one, plus the people in general. Wouldn’t be able to get away from them unless you went overboard. Thank you for being a part of this blog hop, laura.striplin@gmail.com

  17. I’ve never been on a cruise, but what I heard about them from my cousin, they sound fun! =)

    Hope you have a great 2015! =)

  18. I love cruises. I have gotten sea sick before but the seas were really rough. Normally I don’t feel the rocking. And a tip for dining you can order as much as you want. You aren’t limited to one entree or dessert. If you want 2 order 2.

  19. I’ve never been on a cruise. I did plan on one once, like 15 years ago. I had the ship picked out and everything. Soon after, it caught fire. I decided that was all the incentive I needed to not get on one. But they do look like so much fun!! And I love romances set on cruise ships. I think the whole “trapped” type of scenario appeals to me. Thanks for the opportunity!

  20. I’ve always wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise, but the way cruises have been going lately, I’m rethinking the idea.

    Happy New Year!

  21. I’ve never been on one but people I know have a loved them. I think it would be lots of fun.

  22. I know many people who love cruises; however I’ve not been on one. I tend to like to fly to my destination and then enjoy the locale, so I don’t think a cruise would be the way to go for me. Thanks for the giveaway!

  23. Sounds like a great read!
I’ve never been on a cruise, but have always wanted to go on one. My hubby and I are supposed to be going on a week long cruise this year, in Dec, with my in-laws. I am leery of it now due to all of the sickness that people seem to be contracting. We will see what the year holds, though. 🙂
Thank you for participating in the hop and for the wonderful giveaway.

  24. Love them! I went on one a few years ago to Alaska. Cannot recommend it enough, was one of the best vacations of my life, and one I will always remember.
