Welcome to “Six Sentence Sunday”. Thank you for visiting and especially for any comments you might feel inclined to offer.
This six comes from my forthcoming debut novel, The P.U.R.E. (releasing April 16, 2012). Our heroine, Gayle, is being tempted by her big bad wolf (figuratively speaking, that is, because Jon isn’t a werewolf):
Jon’s shower curtain displayed a map of the world on a transparent background. My gaze riveted to the area somewhere around the eastern coast of Brazil before travelling north of Greenland to meet a salacious smirk.
“Well hello, little blonde girl.” He wiggled a dripping wet brow at me. “If you join me inside here, I promise not to eat you up.” Water streamed down his body from the dark hair plastered to the sides of his head, over well-defined shoulder and chest muscles, down over his flat stomach.
Whew! Go get him, Gayle! I hear the wild anacondas in Brazil are a sight to behold. LOL Sorry, couldn’t resist.
Be sure to check out the host site, Six Sentence Sunday, for links to more tantalizing snippets from some very talented writers.
But there’s more…
As a thank you to my Six Sentence Sunday readers and everyone else who has visited me, past and present, my publisher is giving away an advanced reader copy of The P.U.R.E. to a lucky winner I randomly select! If you’re interested, come join me at my still “Under Construction” website where I’ve set up a Rafflecopter to facilitate the entry process! You can also peek at the sort of madness I’ve been practicing with my newly nurtured website development skills. Come on over! The contest closes end of day on February 29th and I’ll announce a winner on March 1st.

Please note: Akismet has run amok on my blog, sending 100% of all comments to spam. Please don’t let that stop you from commenting. I try to be very vigilant about unjailing them, but it will seem like your comment got sucked into a black hole. My apologies in advance for the annoyance.
ooo! Excellent, I love this “steamy” six, hehehe! I’m thoroughly enjoying your writing, Claire, between The Sweetest Song in Tidal Whispers (yup, I’ve read my pARC and am preparing my review 😉 ) and your debut novel, wow! And, yeah, I know this wasn’t in the six, but it still made me lol, “the wild anacondas in Brazil…” ^_^
Thanks, Kelly! I started yours from Tidal…haven’t read very far, but far enough to drool over your writing style.
Greenland? Brazil? Ok, my HS geography lessons are not coming to mind so off to Google maps…oh, BRAZIL! Yes!
I agree with Jon, the “little blonde girl” must take a romp in the Brazilian rainforest.
THanks. Rainforest…snicker…the jungle can be quite a thrilling place. 😉
LOL! Love, love, love it. Going to pop over to the other site for the giveaway.
Aw, thanks, Heather! And thanks for entering the giveaway.

Quite the geography lesson! Fun six!
Thanks, Ryan. 🙂
He sounds as yummy as he is edgy and dangerous! 🙂
Heh-heh…yeah, Jon is quite multi-faceted. Thanks!
The use of the map is a clever touch. 🙂
Thank you, Wendy!
LOVE IT! I’m a sucker for maps, so I really loved your weaving that in here, and in such a creative, sexy way! Loved their interaction too…
Thanks, Angela. I actually have the exact shower curtain mentioned…or my kids do, so the scene’s been logistics tested too. 😉
LOL, love it! I think I had one too at one time. In my old house I wallpapered the bathroom walls with prints of old maps I’d scrounged…
Ooh, I like this guy – and I LOVE the Brazil and Greenland image!
heh! He’s a rather tall guy so I had to get my locations…just…right. LOL Thanks for the read and comment.
His body sounds like a wonderful place to have an adventure. Great six!
Love the shower curtain, but what’s she doing in his bathroom?
Oh, I loved that shower curtain when my kid bought one for his apartment. And I especially love how you used it to have her checking him out! Very clever. And hot!
Love this line–> “Well hello, little blonde girl.”
Great job!
I say go for a world tour. 😉 Great six!
Love how you used the map references to show where Gayle was staring! And ack! Must you stop the downward commentary at the stomach?
