A cover, a book trailer and a release date for BOSS OVERBOARD!

First, the cover:

bossoverboardAnd the blurb:

An all expenses paid, trans-Atlantic cruise has romance written all over it…unless you’re the poor sap who has to inspect the toilets and time the cafeteria lines. As if secret-shopping her company’s failing cruise ship isn’t bad enough, Lydia Johnson is forced to bring along a “top talent” new hire as her assistant. With a heart barely healed from her ex-fiancé’s deceit, she’s in no mood to train a man who might cheat her out of an overdue promotion.

Paul Thomas may be new to J.P. Theriot Enterprises, but he certainly knows his way around cruise ships. The Cajun charmer also isn’t shy about pursuing his desires, including his wary, but oh-so-sexy-when-she lets-her-hair-down manager. He’s shared more about himself with Lydia than any other woman…except who he really is–J.P. Theriot.

And the book trailer:

Finally, the release date:

October 22, 2014!!

The cover reminds me a little of Meljean Brook’s book, The Iron Duke: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0042JSOTY/ The cruise ship on which the story takes place is certainly suffering from its fair share of problems and weather does play into the story. However, seeing as how my eye goes to the mighty fine bare male chest and abs, the inclement weather danger is temporarily forgotten. The woman is a pretty good representation of Lydia.

Ten Bloopers Author Terri Rochenski Caught BEFORE Releasing Secret of the Souls

SotS Blog Tour Button
Guest author Terri Rochenski has the keys to my blog today to tell you a little bit about her new release, Secret of the Souls, book #2 in the Pool of Souls series.

Writing a series always has its challenges. I asked Terri what some of hers were in writing book two of Pool of Souls. Here she is to tell you more about it…

********

SecretOfTheSouls-Cover-Final500Ten goofs I made / corrected while writing book #2 of Pool of Souls

  1. For some reason when I try to type the word ‘from’, my fingers type ‘form’. More than one such occurrence was found while editing!!
  2. Horrible, but … occasionally I still put in two spaces after a sentence. *slinks away in embarrassment*
  3. Some days the brain forgets there’s such a thing as these little tricksters: lead / led and beacon / beckon. Yeah. My brain no likey these two.
  4. During edits, I realized my love affair with ‘eyes’ and ‘gaze’.
  5. In fantasy, there are always strange names, and although I try to choose pretty basic, easy to pronounce ones, I STILL misspell them. *face palm*
  6. Trying to remember when to use Lord / lord, Lady / lady, & King / king. You’d think after the first of the series being published that I would have a clue.
  7. Moving body parts. Yup. Like this one booboo I had to fix:

Lord Thayne’s fist smashed onto the bath’s tiled edge. Um. No.

The lord smashed his fist onto the bath’s tiled edge. Much better.

  1. A person’s gaze TO someone rather than ON them while speaking. *double face palm*
  2. PoV breeches. Bad, bad, bad.
  3. Missing quotation marks!!!

About Terri:

Tracey Hanlon PhotographyTerri started writing stories in the 8th grade, when a little gnome whispered in her brain. Gundi’s Great Adventure never hit the best seller list, but it started a long love affair with storytelling.

Today she enjoys an escape to Middle Earth during the rare ‘me’ moments her three young children allow. When not playing toys, picking them back up, or kissing boo-boos, she can be found sprawled on the couch with a book or pencil in hand, and toothpicks propping her eyelids open.
