NaNoWriMo Time!!

It’s here, kiddies! NaNo time. Fifty thousand words in thirty days or less. I got my plan, a pseudo plot, my Write or Die and my NaNo account reset for my fourth year. I plan to win again. Here’s my strategy, not 100% how NaNo is supposed to be done but I don’t care. As long as I get 50k, I’m good.

WIP 1:  Purely Relative (The P.U.R.E. #1.5) — Needs about another 5000 words

WIP 2:  Succubus Steam (story #3 in Lila’s Succubus Chronicles) — needs about another 7000 words

WIP 3:  Cruise Ship Mistress (no groaning! I’m going Mills and Boon here!) — remaining 38,000 words to get it started. I’d like to eventually get it to at least the full 50k as a stand-alone novel, but we’ll see.

Let the games begin in a few more hours!

#ROW80 Rd 4 — Last Post (wk 12)

Christmas in the post-War United States

And that’s a wrap!  Eighty days of writing dominated for me mostly by NaNo and then penning a short story that mushroomed to 10k words for the Tidal Whispers anthology from J Taylor Publishing, the same publisher who’s handling my debut novel.

I’d did alright on my blog posting, perhaps missed the two per week mark in a couple of weeks  There were a few weeks where I did three or four, so I think on average I met this goal.

This was my fourth ROW80.  I will be skipping the next one to concentrate on my upcoming debut novel.  I’m sure I’ll write.  I’ve never really had issues with BIC (butt in chair), though I did like having quantifiable goals.  With all the other “stuff” that’s going to be happening, I’m going to go goalless for a few months and just do what I feel like doing in addition to the novel promo requirements.  If anything, I need to NOT write and focus on polishing for a while.  I have a rather sizeable heap of novels and stories that could be wonderful if I only spent a little more time editing then shopping them.

So I’ll bid my fellow ROW’ers “adieu” for the next eighty days but wish everyone well.  May your fingers fly, your ink flow and your creativity blossom.  I’ll probably see you again on the other side of eighty.

My goals and current stats for this round are on my ROW80-4 page.
