Weekend Writing Warriors: If he only knew, eh? #8Sunday

www_tinyWelcome to my first official Weekend Writing Warriors post! This is the successor to Six Sentence Sunday.

I have a new release coming out around April 30th called Purely Relative (The P.U.R.E., #1.5). This will be my very first venture into self-publishing. Eek!! More on this in the days ahead.

Purely Relative takes place between the next to last and last chapters of The P.U.R.E. Crazy, I know. In hindsight, I should have called the last chapter an epilogue, but honestly, I never thought I’d write a sequel to The P.U.R.E. Never say never. Sooo… to introduce Purely Relative, I’ll be lifting a quote from The P.U.R.E. which will be my eight sentences for WeWriWa. Gayle speaks first then Jon:

ThePURE-FrontCover-300“Charlie shared the whole poop with you, did he?”

“Here, read for yourself.” He handed me the note.

Hey buddy! How’s DC? Has Gayle said ‘yes’ yet?

I paused to wink at Jon. “If he only knew, eh?”

Only knew what???? A-ha! There is indeed quite a story there.

PUREly Relative Draft 1 Done!

Hurray! A little gut wrenching near the end but all ends well. 30k words the novella’s first draft clocked in at, also bringing my total NaNo word count to 30k. On the backside of the NaNo mountain now with only one project to work on until the 50k mark. I finished my other two as I’d hoped! Hurray! What a great feeling. So quick break to celebrate and wallow in the joy of writing “The End”.

Here’s a bit of music / choreography I’ve always loved, a Mia Michaels choreographed routine to Imogen Heap’s “The Moment I Said It” that is indicative of part of the story arc:
